This page is about this website, local-cognitive.com. How the Local Cognitive app, your servers and Local Cognitive Cloud handle your data is in the documentation: How your data is kept.
What the site keeps in your browser
- Your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your browser.
- While you sign in, a one-time check value in session storage. It is removed as soon as you are back.
- Your sign-in token and a copy of your account page, in this tab's session storage, so the account opens at once. Closing the tab removes them, and the token expires on its own.
- Your email, in local storage, so the pages show it instead of Sign in. Signing out removes it, along with the token and the copy.
Cookies
- Signing in goes through Auth0, which keeps a session cookie on its own domain so that you stay signed in. It is set only when you sign in.
- If you choose Accept, the site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: the page, the page you came from, your browser, device type and country, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. With Essential only, it never loads, and it never runs on the account page.
- The site sets no advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookies at the bottom of every page.
What the site sends
- The account page reads your account, your servers and your usage from Local Cognitive Cloud (api.local-cognitive.com) with your sign-in token, and removes a computer's access when you ask it to.
- Downloads come from GitHub, under GitHub's own privacy statement.
- Pages, fonts and scripts all come from this site, except Cloudflare Web Analytics after Accept. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
